Abruzzo is one of the greenest regions in Europe, located in the heart of Italy between the Apennines and the sea.
Rich in forests and various species of wildlife, the territory of Abruzzo is protected by the presence of numerous national parks and nature reserves as state: Abruzzo National Park, Majella National Park, Gran Sasso National Park and Monti della Laga.

Nature reserves are also present to protect the coast of Abruzzo, such as the Natural Marine Reserve of Punta Aderci in Vasto, where paths and paths in the green, open the view to picturesque and particularly scenic views.
The beaches and cliffs of Abruzzo cover one hundred and thirty kilometers of the Adriatic coast, allowing the many coastal resorts to welcome every year in summer thousands of tourists and especially families with children of all ages: from Martinsicuro, Alba Adriatica, passing through Tortoreto, Giulianova, Roseto degli Abruzzi, Pineto, Silvi Marina, Montesilvano, Pescara, Ortona, Vasto, up to San Salvo.

The sea that bathes the coast is characterized by crystal clear waters and sandy beaches. The seabed, in this part of the Adriatic Sea, is rather shallow, allowing everyone to become familiar with the water. For this reason, many of the towns in Abruzzo have been awarded the blue flag for the quality of their waters and the green flag for beaches suitable for children and families.

Characteristic of the Abruzzo coasts is also the presence of numerous "Trabocchi", suggestive piles similar to giant spiders used for centuries in this area as formidable fishing machines, and now some of these used as charming and romantic restaurants, which over time have given the Abruzzo coast its name as "Costa dei Trabocchi".
Mediterranean in taste, Abruzzo boasts a rich gastronomic tradition and typical products recognized and certified nationally and internationally, from the best regional wines DOC and IGT including: Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, to oils appreciated by connoisseurs around the world, as well as cheeses and saffron L'Aquila DOP.
