Vasto, also called "The Pearl of Abruzzo", is a place rich in history, preserves numerous testimonies of its medieval past through the many monuments and museums to visit. The historic center, stands on a hill with panoramic views of the coast of Vasto Marina. The beach of the coast is wide, with fine sand and natural dunes, its crystal clear sea, repeatedly awarded the Blue Flag and the Green Flag as a beach for children, is ideal for families.
Along the coast of Vasto is known the presence of numerous "Trabocchi", suggestive piles similar to giant spiders, used for centuries in this area as formidable fishing machines, and now, some of these, used as evocative and romantic restaurants, which over time have given name to the Abruzzo coast as "Costa dei Trabocchi".
Just 10 minutes by car from Vasto Marina you have the opportunity to visit the Nature Reserve of Punta Aderci, "the third most beautiful beach in Italy" Fonte Legambiente, where "the Wild Adriatic" of Poet D'Annunzio finds its maximum expression.
In this stretch of coast the coast is a mixture of sand and stones, with blue waters and clear sea beds where it is not uncommon to find dolphins and sea turtles.
